Micro-Piles

American Incline Elevator is excited to now offer our one of a kind, DNR/DEQ preferred, Michigan Building Code compliant "Micro-Piles" for your walkways, bridges, landings and stairs.  Using engineered "Micro-Piles" eliminates the need to disturb virgin soil which hastens erosion. 

Our "Galvanized" pilings are rated for 140 years in the ground and are driven between 7 and 14 feet deep on average.  Pilings also are maintenance free eliminating concerns about post hole style treated lumber footings.  Treated lumber expands, contracts, twists, warps, checks and over a very short period of time can damage the expensive finishes you have installed on top of them.  Treated lumber also leaches chemicals into the soil.

If your property is in a "Critical Dune " area, using micro-piles allows you to be truly "Green".  Protect the dunes while enjoying the reason you bought the property in the first place.  Imagine safely walking above the dunes, across a valley, or wetlands knowing you will never see a post hanging in the air with the concrete plug still stuck to the bottom.  Peace of mind that your children or grandchildren are safe from rickety twisted access points from the past.
